The role focuses on developing seat structures and related components using UGNX (Siemens NX) and 3D CAD workflows. The candidate will create 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings, perform packaging checks and contribute to design reviews, manufacturing feasibility and weight optimization.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
• 4–6 years of experience in automotive seat structure design
• Strong experience with UGNX (Siemens NX) and 3D CAD modeling

Job Description

We are having urgent opening for Seating Structure Engineer with strong experience in automotive seat structure design and development using UGNX (Siemens NX).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive seating structures including seat frames, side members, cross members, brackets, and mounting structures.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using UGNX.
• Strong hands‑on experience in Surface Modelling, Solid Modelling, Sheet Metal Modelling, and Assembly Modelling.
• Perform seat packaging, clearance & interference checks, and interface studies.
• Develop designs considering DFM/DFA, manufacturing feasibility, ergonomics, strength, and weight optimization.
• Prepare 2D drawings with GD&T, tolerances, and engineering specifications.
• Coordinate with Design, CAE, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier teams for product development and issue resolution.
• Support design reviews, engineering changes, validation, and production release.
• Ensure compliance with applicable automotive standards, safety, and customer requirements.
