Job summary

Techmezine in Bengaluru seeks a Power Electronics Engineer to design and develop power electronic systems, including AC/DC and DC/DC converters, inverters, and motor drives, aligned with customer requirements and standards.

You will conduct simulations in PSpice, LTspice, and MATLAB/Simulink to boost performance, analyze components, prototype hardware, perform testing and validation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EMC and thermal management considerations are met.

Qualifications

• Experience designing power electronic systems meeting industry standards.
• Familiarity with MOSFET/IGBT/GaN devices and magnetic components.
• Understanding of thermal management and EMC considerations in product design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop power electronic systems (AC/DC converters, DC/DC converters, inverters, motor drives).
• Perform simulations to improve performance, efficiency and reliability (PSpice, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Evaluate components, materials and suppliers by cost, availability and performance.
• Work on hardware prototyping, testing, validation and troubleshooting of power electronic systems.
• Maintain understanding of power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs, GaN HEMTs) and magnetic components.
• Apply EMC and thermal management considerations during design within safety standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Design and develop power electronic systems such as AC/DC converters, DC/DC converters, inverters, and motor drives while ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.
• Perform simulations and system analysis using tools like PSpice, LTspice, and MATLAB/Simulink to improve performance, efficiency, and overall reliability.
• Evaluate and select suitable components, materials, and suppliers by considering factors such as cost, availability, and performance.
• Work on hardware prototyping, digital control, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of power electronic systems.
• Maintain a strong understanding of power semiconductor devices, including MOSFETs, IGBTs, and GaN HEMTs, along with their operating characteristics.
• Possess a good understanding of magnetic component design, including inductors and transformers, for power electronics applications.
• Apply thermal management techniques and ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements are considered during the design process while complying with relevant safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders by demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills.
