Job summary

Zyeta is seeking a Design Engineer specialized in PHE and FPS for Bengaluru-based projects. The role focuses on water calculations, pipe sizing, and compliant layout development for commercial interiors and D&B projects.

Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with working knowledge of Revit MEP and related tools preferred. The ideal candidate will coordinate with multiple MEP disciplines, review vendor drawings, and support tendering and BOQ activities while ensuring timely drawing delivery and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in PHE and fire protection system design.
• Experience in commercial interiors, workplace projects or D&B projects.
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating with architecture, structure, electrical, HVAC and other MEP disciplines.
• Reviewing vendor drawings, technical submittals and equipment datasheets.
• Supporting tendering, BOQ preparation and technical evaluation of PHE/FPS vendors.
• Resolving site queries and supporting execution teams during installation. Ensuring design accuracy, code compliance and timely drawing delivery.

Design Engineer – PHE & FPS | Key Skills

Core technical skills

• PHE and fire protection system design for commercial interior fit-out and D&B projects
• Water demand calculations, pipe sizing and hydraulic calculations
• Plumbing, water supply, drainage and sewerage layout development
• Fire fighting system design, including sprinklers, hydrants and fire alarms
• Pump, tank, valve and fire protection equipment selection
• Preparing PHE and FPS drawings, schematics, schedules and specifications

Software and tools :

• AutoCAD (proficiency required)
• Revit MEP (working knowledge is a plus)
• Pipe sizing and hydraulic calculation software
• MS Excel and Office
• BOQ tools

Codes and standards :

• NBC, NFPA and applicable plumbing and fire safety standards
• Local fire authority norms and NOC requirements
