Job summary

Naukripay group in India seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to create designs for retractable roofs and related systems. You will develop detailed 2D/3D models and drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, collaborating with research teams, production engineers, and clients to meet project requirements.

You will perform structural calculations, ensure safety and compliance, oversee prototyping and testing, and prepare technical documentation and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical/civil engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years designing mechanical structures, retractable roofs, or facades is preferred.
• Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD/ SolidWorks) and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical structures and retractable roofs to meet specs.
• Create 2D/3D models and drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with research, production engineers, and clients on requirements.
• Perform structural calculations and ensure safety/compliance.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and refinement of designs.
• Prepare BOMs, technical docs, and reports; ensure standards.
• Identify design improvements and support patent work if applicable.

Job description

Design and Development:

• Develop designs for retractable louvered roofs, polycarbonate roofs, and related systems.
• Create detailed 2D/3D models and drawings using software like AutoCAD, and SolidWorks2.

Project Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the research team, production engineers, and clients to understand project requirements.
• Modify and optimize designs based on feedback and functional requirements.

Technical Calculations:

• Perform structural load calculations, material strength analysis, and thermal performance assessments.
• Ensure designs adhere to safety standards and project specifications.

Prototyping & Testing:

• Oversee prototype development and testing phases.
• Troubleshoot and refine designs to resolve technical challenges.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, BOMs, and design reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes and industry standards.

Innovation:

• Identify opportunities for design improvements and innovative solutions.
• Support patent-related work for novel designs, if applicable.
