RekiSe Marine is seeking a Design Engineer to craft components and subsystems for large autonomous robots used in defence. You'll move from CAD to prototyping, testing and production, partnering with R&D, manufacturing, electrical and software squads.
The role emphasizes hands-on hardware development rather than purely conceptual design. Ideal candidates have 4–10 years in mechanical design for robotics, strong NX/CAD proficiency, and experience delivering complex subsystems with a practical,
RekiSe Marine is a marine robotics company building autonomous ships and submarines for defence. It has raised $9.7M in a round led by Accel and Nikhil Kamath's NKSquared, and was founded by a naval architect and a retired Indian Navy Rear Admiral. Rekise builds everything end to end, from vessel design to autonomy software. Its flagship project is the Jalkapi XLAUV, India's first unmanned submarine, on order from the Indian Navy. Jalkapi weighs over 20 tons, can travel 5,000+ km autonomously and can stay at sea for 30+ days.
As a Design Engineer at RekiSe Marine, you'll design the components and subsystems of some of the largest autonomous robots in the world. That includes pressure vessels that operate at 300m depths. You'll take parts from CAD through prototyping, testing and production, working with the R&D, manufacturing, electrical and software teams. The team moves at startup speed and keeps the engineering discipline that defence work needs. We're looking for someone who has built complex hardware hands-on, not just drawn it.
Candidates whose experience is only at large MNCs or IT/engineering services companies.
Your work will directly strengthen India's underwater defence capabilities. You'll take on extreme-environment engineering problems that few engineers in India have tackled. You'll get a lot of ownership, a flat culture, and access to top design tools and software licences.
