Job summary

Rekise Marine is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. You will leverage NX CAD (preferred) or other tools to create precise components and systems, and develop detailed manufacturing drawings.

Join our R&D-driven environment to prototype, run simulations with ANSYS/Abaqus, and apply DFM/DFA principles for production-ready designs. You will collaborate across disciplines and contribute to documentation and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or related field.
• 4-10 years of mechanical design or engineering experience, preferably in R&D.
• Proficiency in NX CAD and PLM required.
• Familiar with simulation tools like ANSYS or Abaqus.
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing, and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Design and Modeling: create detailed 2D/3D CAD designs using NX CAD preferred, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
• Develop and refine engineering drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
• Prototyping and Testing: participate in R&D, develop prototypes, perform feasibility studies and stress analyses.
• Process Optimization: collaborate with manufacturing to ensure DFM/DFA, improve designs for production and cost.
• Collaboration and Documentation: work with mechanical, electrical, and software teams; prepare design records and reports.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer with 4-10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in using NX CAD or other 3D CAD tools to create detailed and precise designs.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Modeling

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD designs of components and systems using tools such as NX CAD- preferred or Solidworks,AutoCAD, or CATIA.
• Develop and refine engineering drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
• Ensure designs meet technical specifications, functional requirements, and industry standards.

Prototyping and Testing

• Will be a part of R&D team to develop and test prototypes.
• Perform feasibility studies and stress analyses using simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS).
• Identify and address design issues during testing and validation phases.

Process Optimization

• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production.
• Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles in projects.
• Continuously improve existing designs to enhance performance and cost efficiency.

Collaboration and Documentation

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
• Prepare technical documentation, including engineering reports, specifications, and design records.
• Support project planning and provide inputs for timelines and resource requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 4-10 years of experience in mechanical design or engineering, preferably in R&D focused industries working on electro-mechanical/robotic systems.
• Proven experience in designing components and systems for complex projects.
• Proficiency in NX CAD software and PLM.
• Familiarity with simulation tools like ANSYS or Abaqus.
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping techniques.
• Experience in DFM, DFA, and DFMEA principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
