Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Bengaluru is seeking a Design Engineer for General Arrangement, BOM, and Schematic drawings for substations up to 765kV. You will coordinate with customers, project management, and manufacturing to ensure on-time release of documents after drawings approval.

You should be proficient in e3, AutoCAD and MS Office, fluent in Hindi and English, and willing to travel across India to deliver panels and systems as per schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in General Arrangement, BOM and schematic drawings for substations.
• Knowledge of two main transfer schemes and one-half breaker scheme desired.
• Familiarity with various numerical relays (TC/LG/OC) and bay control units is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare General Arrangement, BOM and Schematic drawings and submit to customer per project schedule.
• Coordinate with Customer and technical discussions; ensure on-time release of documents for Manufacturing and SCM after drawing approval.
• Coordinate with Project Management and Customer during FAT/SAT; maintain Design and Engineering QMS.
• Design & Engineering of Control and Protection panels up to 765kV level.
• Ensure readiness of documents like wiring schedules, label lists, and cutout details with approvals.
• Coordinate with Project Management, SCM and Customer to deliver panels/systems per schedule.
• Proficient in e3, AutoCAD & MS Office; fluent in Hindi & English.

Preparation of General Arrangement, Bill of materials and Schematic drawings and submission to customer as per project schedule.

• Co-ordination with Customer and technical discussion with customer On-time release of documents for Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management after drawing approval from the end customer
• Co-ordination with Project Management and Customer during FAT/SAT
• To follow and maintain as per Quality Management System related to Design and Engineering
• Design & Engineering of Control and Protection panels up to 765kV level
• Should know about two main Transfer scheme and one-half breaker scheme.
• Should have worked on Numerical Transformer Differential relay, Numerical Distance protection relay, Numerical Line differential relay, Numerical Generator protection relay, Numerical busbar protection relay, Numerical Over current and Earth fault relay and Bay control units.
• Designing of Substation Automation Systems (System Architecture, FDS, IO list, SAS Panel drawings etc.)
• Preparation of General Arrangement and Schematic drawings
• Willing to travel across India
• Co-ordination, technical discussion and getting approval with customer
• Preparation and release of manufacturing documents like wiring schedule, label list, cutout details etc.
• Co-ordination with Project Management, Supply chain Management and Customer to deliver the panels/systems as per project schedule.
• Should be well versed in e3, Autocad & MS office.
• Should be fluent in Hindi & English.
