Job summary

Kinetix in Bengaluru is seeking a draftsman with CAD experience to produce plan, profile, and base drawings for projects. The role involves estimating quantities and costs, instructing drafters to convert designs into drawings, performing engineering calculations, and conducting research as needed to support project deliverables.

Candidate should be familiar with computer-aided design software and be able to work with catalogs when original design is not required.

• Produces plan & profile drawings, perspective drawings, overlays, base drawings,map and illustrations, using AutoCAD. Prepares quantities and cost estimates.
• May be expected to design portions of a project.
• Makes calculations, using engineering formulas & skills.
• Use catalogs to specify items where original design is not required.
• Instructs drafters how to reduce designs into completed drawings.
• Performs research and writes reports.
• Perform research and writes opinions.
• Use computer to run standard programs in order to solve engineering problems
• May write special programs to resolve unusual engineering problems.
• Must be familiar with computer-aided design.
