Kapxha Dynamics in Jaipur, India, invites a mechanical/aerodynamics engineer to design, model, and analyze UAV components using 3D CAD tools. You will perform aerofoil analysis, CFD, and multi-physics simulations to optimize drag and lift for airframe parts, and plan wind tunnel tests while correlating results with simulation data.
Responsibilities include preparing detailed drawings, tolerances, and BOMs for prototyping and manufacturing, and collaborating with robotics and propulsion teams to
Design, model, and analyze mechanical and aerodynamic components for UAV/drone systems using 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, AutoCAD). Perform aerodynamic structure design, airfoil/aerofoil analysis, and boundary layer analysis to optimize drag coefficient and lift coefficient for airframe components. Run CFD and multi-physics simulations to validate aero-thermal performance, structural integrity, and flow characteristics. Plan and support wind tunnel testing, correlate simulation results with physical test data, and iterate designs accordingly. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, tolerancing, and BOMs for prototyping and manufacturing. Collaborate with the robotics and systems engineering teams to integrate structural/aerodynamic designs with avionics and propulsion systems. Use visualization tools (Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine) as needed for design reviews, renders, and simulation walkthroughs.
B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline with 2-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical/aerodynamic design. Strong proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, and AutoCAD. Working knowledge of CFD tools and experience with aerodynamic structure analysis, aerofoil/airfoil design, drag and lift coefficient calculations, and aero-thermal analysis. Exposure to wind tunnel testing and multi-physics simulation is a strong plus. Familiarity with Blender, Unity, or Unreal Engine for graphics/visualization is a bonus. Prior experience in UAV, drone, robotics, or aerospace product design is highly preferred.
