Job summary

• Familiarity with CFD, FEA, and UAV performance analysis.
• Exposure to CNC machining, 3D printing, and composite fabrication in engineering labs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop UAV platforms (fixed-wing, VTOL, hybrid).
• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings.
• Develop airframe structures and integration of subsystems.
• Perform aerodynamic and structural analysis to optimize performance.
• Coordinate avionics, propulsion, power, control, and payload systems.
• Support prototype development, fabrication, and testing.
• Work with manufacturing to translate design to production.
• Prepare BOMs, design reports, and engineering presentations.
• Identify design improvements from tests and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and specs.

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop UAV platforms, including fixed-wing, VTOL, and hybrid configurations.
• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings for UAV components and systems.
• Develop airframe structures such as wings, fuselage, tail sections, mounts, brackets, and internal supports.
• Perform aerodynamic and structural analysis to optimize performance, weight, payload capacity, and stability.
• Coordinate integration of avionics, propulsion, power, control, and payload subsystems.
• Support prototype development, fabrication, assembly, and testing of UAV systems.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design intent is translated accurately into production.
• Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, design reports, and engineering presentations.
• Identify design improvements and implement changes based on test results and project feedback.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and project specifications.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3 years of experience in UAV design or related aerospace product development.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with CFD, FEA, and UAV performance analysis.
• Exposure to CNC machining, 3D printing, and composite fabrication.
• Engineering office, prototype lab, and manufacturing/testing environment.
