Job summary

Quality HR India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Design Engineer in Bhilad for a 2-4 year mechanical design role. You will design sheet metal and plastic components and create 3D models and 2D drawings using PTC Creo 4.0+.

You will collaborate with industrialization, quality and production teams, manage BOMs, support ECN/ECR processes, and ensure design feasibility while addressing manufacturing challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience in design and development of sheet metal and plastic components.
• Design and communicate innovative concepts from product requirements.
• Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFM/DFA and design standards.
• Experience with ECN/ECR, drawing release and BOM management.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of sheet metal and plastic components using PTC CREO 4.0+.
• Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Coordinate with industrialization, quality, production for design feasibility.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, technical documentation, and design specs.
• Troubleshoot design/manufacturing issues and provide engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of sheet metal and plastic components using PTC CREO 4.0 and above version
• Able to understand product requirements and ability to create and communicate innovative design concepts.
• Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• General understanding of engineering material, sheet metal design, plastic design, manufacturing processes and fabrication methods.
• Knowledge specific machine elements like gear, shaft, pulleys, drive mechanism.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFM/DFA, engineering standards.
• Knowledge of rapid prototyping and different processes.
• Experience in design change management, engineering change management, drawing release.
• Coordinate and collaborate with industrialization, quality, production and cross-functional team for design feasibility.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, technical documentation, and design specifications.
• Troubleshoot design and manufacturing-related issues and provide suitable engineering solutions.
• Candidates with experience in manufacturing and industrial machinery would be preferred.
