Burckhardt Compression India is seeking a Design Engineer in Kondhapuri to contribute to our growth in a fast-paced environment. You will model and draft parts using UG-NX, manage drawings in Teamcenter and SAP, and ensure strict documentation per ISO guidelines.

The role requires 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience, knowledge of 3D CAD, ERP systems, and good English communication. Familiarity with API/ASME standards is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (NX preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and PLM tools (Teamcenter).
• Familiarity with ISO standards and GD&T.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Modeling and drafting of casting, forging, machining, assembly, and tubing drawings using 3D software (UG-NX).
• Preliminary checking of drawings for accuracy.
• Manage drawing data in Teamcenter & SAP ERP system.
• Prepare specifications, procedures, and Bills of Material in Teamcenter.
• Ensure product drawing accuracy and issue drawings/documents to other departments.
• Maintain documentation per ISO, IMS (QMS + EMS) procedures.
• Support order execution and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Assist with nonconformance resolution, field complaints, and new product development.
• Adhere to product standardization and value engineering approaches.

Position: Design Engineer

Location: Kondhapuri

Your Contributions To Organisation's Growth

• Modelling & drafting of casting, forging, machining, assembly, tubing drawings using 3D software UG-NX and preliminary checking of drawings.
• Drawing data management using PLM Team center & ERP system SAP.
• Prepare specifications and procedures.
• Prepare bills of material in team center
• Ensure accuracy of product.
• Issue of drawings / documents to other departments (as per requirement).
• Maintain documentation and records as per ISO Guidelines.
• Maintain & adhere IMS (QMS + EMS) procedures.
• Support to order execution & close coordination with all stake holders related to order execution to resolve operating issues.
• Support for resolving nonconformance, field complaints, suggestions from other depts, new product development.
• Adhere to product standardization & value engineering approach.

Education/ Experience / Languages

• Bachelor of Engineering / Diploma with Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience and having good academics
• Knowledge of any 3D software (NX will be advantageous)
• Knowledge of MS Office, any ERP system, SAP preferable
• Knowledge of international standards like API, ASME, ASTM, DIN etc
• Experience in reciprocating compressor or rotating equipment industry (will be added advantage)
• Basic knowledge of GD&T
• Spoken & written English is must
• German (Will be added advantage)

• This role demands creation of 3D models & 2D drawings of 3D models which are accurate by using their engineering understanding & use of UGNX software
