Job summary

Catalydd Consulting is seeking a Design Engineer with around 3 years of hands-on experience for automotive thermal systems in Maraimalai Nagar, Chennai. You will design climate control components using CATIA V5, SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities include 2D/3D design, APQP/PPAP alignment, GD&T, validation planning, and developing new products with virtual validation. The role requires collaboration with internal and external teams and attention to cost, quality and innovation.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical or Automotive engineering.
• M.E./M.Tech in related field preferred.
• 3 years of hands-on design engineering experience.
• Hands-on with CATIA V5, SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of APQP/PPAP and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Design automotive thermal system components.
• Create 2D/3D drawings (AutoCAD/CATIA/SolidWorks).
• Support APQP/PPAP, PSW, DV & PV and GD&T activities.
• Lead testing and validation planning for ideas.
• Develop new products with virtual validation.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams.

Location : Maraimalai Nagar, Chennai

• Experience: 2 to 3 Years
• Budget: ₹30K/Month In-hand
• Shift Timings: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Working Hours: 8 Hours (extendable based on business requirements)
• Weekly Off: Sunday (however, candidates may need to work on Sundays depending on business requirements)

We are looking for Design Engineers with hands‑on experience in 3D design software such as CATIA V5, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Should have professional experience in the auto Thermal Systems [Climate Control, Thermal management.
• Should have sound knowledge of 2D / 3D Design (AUTO CAD / CATIV V5 / SOLID WORKS, etc ) for automotive thermal systems (system and component level).
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PSW, DV & PV, GD&T, Part quality handling and Root cause analysis will be added advantage.
• Knowledge and good level of hands‑on experience of recent technologies, literature survey and its implementation skills are desirable.
• Should steer the new technology concepts to improve the Climate control system efficiency
• Responsible for defining a testing and validation plan for all ideas and ensure a proper closure of relevant ideas toward implementation.
• Responsible in developing new products, Virtual validation and competency for cost, quality innovation and technologies for Climate Control by closely working with internal and external teams.
• Good knowledge of the new product development life cycle and change management activities for product maintenance
• Willingness to learn and develop your own skills and abilities
• Good communication skill presenting information verbally and in writing.
