Job summary

PeopleStrong in Mumbai is seeking a Design Engineer for an underground road tunnel project. You will develop safe, economical, and constructible engineering solutions for tunnel excavation, support systems, and permanent linings, based on geological conditions, load cases, design codes, and construction methods.

You will translate geotechnical data into calculations, design criteria, and executable drawings, supporting the construction team with technical decisions during tunnelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Civil/Structural or equivalent.
• 3–10 years of experience in underground tunnel design.
• Knowledge of geological reports, rock mass classifications, and design codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe, economical, and constructible designs for tunnel excavation, support systems, and permanent linings based on geological conditions, load cases, design codes, and construction methods.
• Translate geotechnical data into calculations, design criteria, and executable drawings, while supporting the construction team with technical decisions during tunnelling.
