Job summary

The role requires a B.E. in Electrical Engineering, a minimum of 2 years in solar system design, and hands-on experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and PVsyst. Strong English communication and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering – Mandatory
• Minimum 2 years of experience in solar system design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD – Mandatory
• Strong working knowledge of SketchUp, PVsyst – Mandatory
• Familiarity with solar PV modules, solar inverters, and their specifications – Advantage
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and project documentation tools
• CRM experience is a plus
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary system designs and BoMs for solar PV installations.
• Use AutoCAD, SketchUp, and PVsyst for detailed solar system design and energy estimation.
• Create and manage detailed construction packages, including electrical drawings and layout.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented Design Engineer with a background in electrical engineering and solar energy systems to join our Bangalore-based team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the design, simulation, and planning of solar PV projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and technical compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare preliminary system designs and Bills of Materials (BoMs) for solar PV installations.
• Use tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and PVsyst for detailed solar system design and energy estimation.

Create and manage detailed construction packages, including:

• Electrical design drawings
• Mechanical layout
• String configuration plans
• “As-Made” and “As-Built” documents
• Provide technical support to Project Managers and address design-related queries.
• Ensure compliance with electrical design standards and SolarEdge product specifications.
• Maintain and update design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
