Please See// is looking for a Design Director to lead and shape the creative vision across our verticals. This role is for a strategic, hands‑on design leader who can balance big‑picture thinking with executional excellence, while building and nurturing a high‑performing design team.
You’ll be responsible for defining how design shows up across brand, product, and experience, partnering closely with strategy, business, marketing, and studio teams to deliver meaningful, high‑impact work.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Design Leadership
- Define and evolve the design vision across company verticals, aligned with brand values and business goals
- Lead design across multiple disciplines including branding, packaging, motion, UI/UX, and experiential
- Champion design thinking as a core part of strategic planning
Team Management & Development
- Build, mentor, and scale a high‑performing, multidisciplinary design team
- Set clear goals, performance benchmarks, and career growth plans
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and feedback‑driven design culture
Creative Oversight & Direction
- Own and evolve design systems, principles, and quality standards across all outputs
- Review and guide major creative work, ensuring consistency, craft, and innovation
- Oversee design execution across all customer touchpoints, digital, physical, and experiential
- Balance hands‑on creative direction with empowering leads and individual contributors
Collaboration, Process & Delivery
- Partner with Strategy, Business, Marketing, and Studio teams to ensure cohesive design delivery
- Translate complex business, user, and technical requirements into elegant, scalable design solutions
- Establish efficient design processes, tools, and workflows
- Oversee timelines, resourcing, and delivery while advocating for research and iteration
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in design, with strong leadership experience
- A portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking and high‑quality execution
- Experience leading teams across disciplines and projects
- Strong cross‑functional communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to move between vision‑setting and hands‑on direction
