Job summary

Tata Technologies in Pune, India, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop detailed 3D models and assemblies for exhaust systems, including pipes, brackets, heat shields and catalyst housings. You will prepare production drawings with GD&T and tolerance specifications, perform tolerance stack-ups, and support DFMEA discussions.

Coordinate with CAE and system engineering for validation and prototype feedback.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models and assemblies for exhaust systems including pipes, brackets, heat shields and catalyst housings
• Prepare production drawings with GD&T and tolerance specifications
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure assembly fit and function
• Participate in DFMEA discussions and support risk identification
• Support packaging feasibility studies within vehicle constraints
• Manage engineering changes and design updates through PLM workflows
• Coordinate with CAE and system engineering teams for design validation
• Support prototype builds and incorporate feedback into design updates
• Participate in technical design reviews and engineering discussions
• Ensure compliance with company CAD standards and modeling practices
