Job summary

Arbizz Solutions is seeking a Design Coordinator to oversee architectural design activities across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and high-rise developments. You will coordinate with internal and external architects, structural and MEP teams, and project execution teams to ensure timely delivery, design integration, and adherence to project specs and quality standards.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Design Coordinator , to coordinate architectural design activities across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and high-rise development projects. The role involves coordinating with internal and external architects,, structural and MEP teams, project execution teams, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of design drawings, effective design integration, and adherence to project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Coordination & Management

• Review drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure design deliverables are aligned with project requirements, design intent, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with external and internal design teams for timely submission of drawings
• Monitor design schedules and ensure timely closure of design deliverables.

2. Interdisciplinary Coordination

• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, interiors, façade, and other consultants to ensure seamless design integration.
• Identify design discrepancies, clashes, and constructability issues and facilitate timely resolution.
• Conduct regular design coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

3. Drawing Review & Documentation

• Review Good for Construction (GFC), Good for Approval (GFA), and tender drawings.
• Ensure the latest approved drawings are circulated to relevant project teams.
• Close all RFIs (Requests for Information), design clarifications, and drawing revisions.
• Verify that design changes are properly documented and communicated.

4. Site & Execution Coordination

• Coordinate with project execution teams to address site-related design queries and technical clarifications.
• Conduct site visits to understand execution challenges and provide necessary design inputs.
• Review shop drawings and material submissions in coordination with relevant consultants.
• Ensure design intent is maintained during project execution.
• Facilitate timely resolution of site-related architectural issues to avoid project delays.

5. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure architectural designs comply with applicable building codes, local regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with approval consultants for necessary drawings and documentation.
• Monitor design quality and ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
• Identify opportunities for design optimization, value engineering, and cost efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognized university.
• 12–18 years of relevant experience in architectural design coordination, preferably in real estate or construction.
• Strong understanding of architectural drawings, construction details, and design integration.
• Experience coordinating with multiple consultants and project execution teams.
