• 4–6 years of experience in architectural design coordination or related roles.
• Experience across residential, commercial, hospitality, high-rise, or mixed-use developments.
• Practical knowledge of architectural drawings, detailing, and construction documentation.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary design consultants and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate architectural designs with Structural, MEP, Landscape, Interior, Faade, Lighting, and other consultants.
• Review drawings to identify design clashes and resolve coordination issues.
• Ensure design compatibility, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
• Organize design review meetings and track action items with consultants.
• Monitor design development and ensure timely closure of design-related issues.
• Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and GFC drawings; maintain drawing registers.
• Coordinate drawing revisions and ensure latest approved drawings are available to project teams.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, PMs, and site engineers.
• Monitor consultant deliverables and ensure submission per project schedules.
• Manage RFIs and coordinate responses with relevant consultants.
• Review technical submittals and support tendering and procurement activities.
• Prepare Minutes of Meetings (MOM) and follow up on pending design decisions.
• Resolve architectural design issues encountered during construction; review submittals.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Design Coordinator Architecture to manage and coordinate architectural design activities across residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use development projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with architects, consultants, structural and MEP teams, project managers, and site teams to ensure smooth design coordination and timely delivery of construction drawings.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Design Coordination

• Coordinate architectural designs with Structural, MEP, Landscape, Interior, Faade, Lighting, and other consultants.
• Review architectural and consultant drawings to identify design clashes and resolve coordination issues.
• Ensure design compatibility, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
• Organize design review meetings and follow up on action items with consultants.
• Monitor design development and ensure timely closure of design-related issues.

2. Drawing Review and Documentation

• Review architectural drawings, detailed drawings, shop drawings, and Good for Construction (GFC) drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, design trackers, and document control systems.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, applicable building codes, and quality standards.
• Coordinate drawing revisions and ensure the latest approved drawings are available to project teams.

3. Consultant and Project Coordination

• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, project managers, and site engineers.
• Monitor consultant deliverables and ensure submission as per project schedules.
• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and coordinate responses with the relevant consultants.
• Review technical submittals and support tendering and procurement activities.
• Prepare Minutes of Meetings (MOM) and follow up on pending design decisions.

4. Site and Construction Support

• Resolve architectural design issues and discrepancies encountered during construction.
• Review material submittals, technical specifications, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure execution aligns with approved drawings and design intent.
• Conduct site visits and support inspections, as required.
• Coordinate design modifications arising from site conditions and construction requirements.

5. Reporting and Project Documentation

• Maintain design progress trackers and consultant deliverable schedules.
• Prepare design status reports and highlight delays, risks, and pending approvals.
• Maintain records of design changes, revisions, approvals, and project correspondence.
• Support project teams in achieving design milestones and construction deadlines.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch.).
• 46 years of relevant experience in architectural design coordination, design management, or project architecture.
• Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, high-rise, or mixed-use development projects.
• Practical knowledge of architectural drawings, detailing, consultant coordination, and construction documentation.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary design consultants and site execution teams.

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD mandatory.
• SketchUp - working knowledge preferred.
• Adobe Photoshop - preferred.
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of drawing management systems and BIM tools such as Revit or Navisworks is an added advantage.
