Job summary

ReNew in Gurugram is seeking a Deputy Manager - Supplier Quality with 5–10 years of experience to lead supplier quality activities and ensure electrical equipment meets rigorous standards. You will drive vendor development, audits, testing, and CAPA, and support reliability across power and renewable energy projects.

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with relevant sector exposure.
  • 5–10 years of vendor quality and supplier quality management experience in power/renewable energy.
  • Experience in testing electrical equipment and quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of switchyards, substations and power distribution equipment.
  • Experience with supplier audits, QC documentation, and QMS.
  • Proficiency in RCA, CAPA and failure analysis.
  • Ability to manage third-party inspections and quality compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Vendor development, supplier qualification and performance assessment.
  • Product due diligence, evaluation and testing of electrical equipment.
  • Testing and inspection of transformers, inverters, circuit breakers, HT/LT panels, cables, and substation equipment.
  • Timely material inspections and adherence to defined TATs.
  • Validation of Manufacturing Quality Plans (MQPs).
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) validation and corrective actions.
  • Field failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Management of Third-Party Inspection Agencies.
  • Department budget planning, cost control and resource management.
  • Team leadership, mentoring and capability development.
  • Conducting supplier audits and ensuring quality compliance across the supply chain.

Job Description

Position: Deputy Manager - Supplier Quality

Location: Gurugram

Experience: 5 to 10 Years

Key Responsibilities
  • Vendor development, supplier qualification, and supplier performance assessment.
  • Product due diligence, product evaluation, and testing of electrical equipment.
  • Testing and inspection of:
    • Transformers
    • Inverters
    • Circuit Breakers
    • HT/LT Panels
    • Cables
    • Switchyard and Substation Equipment
  • Timely material inspections and adherence to defined TATs.

  • Documentation and Quality Management System (QMS) knowledge.
  • RCA, CAPA, and Failure Analysis expertise.
  • Ability to manage third-party inspections and quality compliance activities.
Preferred Background
  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in power, renewable energy, EPC, electrical equipment manufacturing, or utility industries.
  • Target Companies: Renew Power, Tata Power, Adani Energy, ReNew, Sterlite Power, Hitachi Energy, Siemens Energy, Schneider Electric, ABB, GE Vernova, Havells, V-Guard, L&T, Kalpataru, KEC International, and similar power/electrical organizations.
  • Ideal Candidate: A quality professional with 5-10 years of experience in vendor quality, product testing, supplier audits, and inspection of electrical equipment, preferably from the power, transmission, substation, or renewable energy sector.
