Job summary

Renault Group is seeking a Sr. Buyer for Raw Material—Ferrous/Non-Ferrous to manage sourcing, budgeting and market intelligence. The role involves engaging with steel mills, optimizing supply for flat steel, aluminum and plastics, and contributing to centralized purchasing strategies.

Candidate should have experience in RM budgeting, RM validation, and management reporting. This position focuses on strengthening RM supply chains and ensuring cost-effective procurement across materials.

Qualifications

• Experience in raw material purchasing and RM market dynamics.
• Ability to work with steel mills and identify supply options.
• Knowledge of RM index and market intelligence is a plus.
• Budgeting and RM validation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee raw material sourcing for ferrous/non-ferrous items (steel, aluminum, plastics).
• Coordinate with steel mills, manage existing supplies plus new developments.
• Lead Centralized Steel Purchasing (CSP) with coil center, maintain stock control and yield mapping.
• Leverage RM index/market intelligence to inform purchasing decisions.

• Sr. Buyer : Raw Material – Ferrous/Non-Ferrous (Flat Steel/Aluminum/Plastics etc.,)
• MSO – Material Support Office (Responsible for Overall RM Guide, budget working, RM validation etc., Management reporting for RM status)
• Should have strong knowledge on all Major RM category to challenge & find option for mitigation
• Steel Mills management Including existing supplies + new development
• CSP – Centralized Steel Purchasing management along with Coil center, should be able to manage Supplies effectively with ordering & stock control + best Yield mapping
• Good knowledge on RM index/market intelligence will be added advantage
