Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited (Automotive and Farm Equipment) is seeking an experienced Calibration Engineer to lead engine and FIE/CRS calibration across platforms, drive combustion development and ensure emissions compliance for multiple Trem designs. The role requires coordinating with manufacturing, testing, and regulatory teams to deliver drivability and performance targets.

Qualifications

• BTech (Mech/Automobile) or MTech with relevant calibration/combustion focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Mechanical and CRS FIE system calibration across platforms.
• Drive combustion development and optimize engine performance for targets.
• Execute engine calibration to meet performance and emission targets for TREM IIIAA, TREM-4 and TREM-5.
• Conduct vehicle calibration to meet drivability and noise targets.
• Formulate and execute DoE for calibration optimization.
• Select and validate engine emission hardware including FIE and EATS systems.
• Ensure compliance with DSM, NCD, PCD requirements for TREM 3A/3AA/4 norms.
• Coordinate with emission nodal agencies for legal compliance and certification.
• Use ETAS INCA, AVL Concerto, CAMEO for calibration and data evaluation.
• Benchmark competitor systems and integrate learnings into development.
• Oversee engine build quality and timelines across project stages.
• Coordinate with manufacturing for build execution and component availability.
• Collaborate with testing teams for calibration and functional tests.
• Lead troubleshooting from field/customer feedback.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, testing, regulatory.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Calibration & Development:

• Lead Mechanical and CRS FIE system calibration across platforms.

Emission & Certification:

• Select and validate engine emission hardware including FIE and EATS systems.
• Ensure compliance with DSM, NCD, PCD requirements forTREM 3A, TREM 3AA and TREM-4 norms.
• Coordinate with emission regulation nodal agencies to ensure legal compliance and certification.

Tools & Data Analysis:

• Utilize advanced tools such as ETAS INCA, AVL Concerto, CAMEO for calibration and data evaluation.
• Benchmark competitor systems and integrate learnings into development.

Project Execution & Coordination:

• Oversee engine build quality and timelines across project stages.
• Coordinate with manufacturing plant teams for build execution.
• Liaise with component development teams to ensure timely part availability.
• Collaborate with testing teams for calibration and functional test execution.
• Lead troubleshooting of vehicle issues from field/customer feedback.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, testing, and regulatory affairs.

B Tech (Mech/Automobile) / MTech (Mech/Automobile/Combustion Development/ECU Calibration)
