Job summary

Legrand Slovenija is seeking a Deputy Manager - Incoming Quality to oversee incoming materials for electrical switchboards and IEC 60947 products. You will lead IQC activities, set inspection and sampling plans, and drive supplier quality performance and CAPA actions.

You will coordinate with Procurement, Engineering and Production to resolve issues, monitor KPIs, and support customer and certification audits.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering required.
• 6+ years of experience in quality within electrical switchgear/switchboard industry.
• Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems and quality tools (SPC, SOC).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead IQC activities and ensure conformity of incoming materials to specifications.
• Develop and implement inspection plans, sampling plans, and QC procedures.
• Manage supplier quality performance, supplier audits, NCRs, and CAPA.
• Ensure ISO 9001, IEC 60947, IEC 61439 compliance and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Production and Suppliers to resolve issues.
• Lead and develop the incoming quality team to achieve objectives.
• Support customer and certification audits; monitor key quality KPIs.

Job Description:

The Deputy Manager - Incoming Quality is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of incoming raw materials, sheet metal parts, electrical components, busbars, switchgear, and bought-out items used in the manufacturing of electrical switchboards and IEC 60947 products. The role involves supplier quality management, incoming inspection, customer and audit support, team leadership, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead Incoming Quality Control (IQC) activities and ensure conformity of incoming materials to specifications and standards.
• Develop and implement inspection plans, sampling plans, and quality control procedures.
• Manage supplier quality performance, supplier audits, NCRs, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IEC 60947, IEC 61439, and customer requirements.
• Analyze supplier defects and drive root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and CAPA methodologies.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Production, and Suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Lead and develop the incoming quality team to achieve quality objectives.
• Support customer audits, certification audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor quality KPIs including Supplier PPM, Incoming Rejection Rate, NCR Closure, and Cost of Poor Quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/B.Tech, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in the Quality department within the electrical switchgear/switchboard industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), ERP systems, and technical tools such as SPC, SOC, and other quality tools.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
