Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions is seeking a Deputy Manager-Pilot Plant to supervise and coordinate all production activities during the assigned shift, ensuring safe operations, adherence to quality standards, and achievement of production targets.

You will allocate manpower, supervise operators and technicians, conduct shift briefings, monitor process parameters, ensure compliance with safety procedures, and maintain accurate production records, driving productivity and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• M.Sc in Chemistry, or a Diploma in Chemical Engg, or BE/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
• Eight years of plant operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all production activities during the assigned shift.
• Allocate manpower effectively based on production requirements.
• Supervise operators and technicians during the shift.
• Conduct shift briefing and communicate production priorities.
• Identify training needs and provide on-the-job guidance.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to approved specifications and batch records.
• Monitor critical process parameters and quality checkpoints.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and permit systems.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by all shift personnel.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in production areas.
• Complete production records, logbooks, and shift reports accurately.
• Record production output, downtime, deviations, and resource consumption.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify abnormalities.
• Ensure proper equipment cleaning and readiness for production.
• Support productivity, quality, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
