Qualifications

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of experience in New Product Development.
• Exposure to APQP, PPAP, CAD and quality systems (TS16949, ISO 14000, TQM).
• Strong communication and negotiation with customers.
• Proven ability to plan and execute projects.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

Responsible for managing the new model development lifecycle, from feasibility study through to mass production, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, quality standards, and project KPIs (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Value).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and gather required information from customers.
• Facilitate resolution of feasibility issues, negotiate product specifications, and prepare design reviews.
• Develop and execute project plans, coordinate tooling preparation with P&T, and monitor sample submission and default rates.
• Review and explain customer-specific requirements to cross‑functional teams (P&T+ CFT) and obtain timely approvals.
• Monitor sample rejections and specification variances; oversee packaging design and customer feedback implementation.
• Implement quality checks on new model parts, conduct system audits and TQM initiatives to ensure product quality.
• Identify and budget major tooling and fixtures; manage budget variances.
• Ensure counter‑measures are incorporated before mass production, provide fitment feedback, and monitor design yield and KPIs during initial control.

Qualifications

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of experience in New Product Development.
• Exposure to APQP, PPAP, CAD, quality systems (TS16949, ISO 14000, TQM).
