Job summary

FLSmidth in India is seeking a Mechanical Erection Lead to manage installation, erection, commissioning, and troubleshooting of heavy mining/cement equipment. You will supervise erection activities, ensure safety, and coordinate with customers and contractors at domestic and international sites.

Ideal candidates have 8–12 years in mechanical erection of heavy equipment, solid knowledge of installation planning, and proficiency in MS Project and MS Office. Willingness to travel is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.
• 8–12 years’ experience in Mechanical erection of heavy equipment in Mining/Cement/Chemical industries.
• Hands-on experience in installation, erection plans and sequence of erection.
• Proficient in using MS Project and MS Office tools for reporting and planning.
• Knowledge of drawing IOM interpretations and plant start-up basics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute installation and erection activities for projects.
• Provide commissioning and troubleshooting support and supervise erection.
• Obtain Mechanical Completion Certificates and support group trials with interlocks and load trials.
• Travel to domestic and global sites for erection services and AMCs.
• Ensure safety and coordinate with customers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Prepare site documentation and reports; manage schedules and punch lists.

Together, we enable our customers to produce the materials needed for a better future.DepartmentYou will be part of the CA&I Field Services Team.RoleYour primary role is to Lead & handle complete Installation, Erection activities individually or as a team depending upon the size of the project, supplied to mining industries across the Globe for the following products.Crushing and Feeding ( Gyratory Crusher, Jaw Crusher, Roller Crusher, Eccentric Roll Crusher, Cone Crusher, Hammer crusher, Apron Feeder, Belt Feeder, Hopper Feeder, Fuller Circular Motion Screen),Hands on experience in Gyratory Crusher installation, commissioning & troubleshooting.Milling & Grinding (AG Mill, Ball Mill, Rod Mill, Rotary Scrubber, SAG Mill, HPGR),Your responsibilitiesInstallation, erection, support Commissioning and troubleshootingErection supervision of mining equipments/systems/productsObtain Mechanical Completion Certificate from CustomerSupport in Group trials with Interlocks, Load trials and Hot CommissioningSupport in pre-commissioning, commissioning & PG TestPerform technical evaluations and analyses equipment component failuresQuickly response to the customers on equipment troubleshootingTraveling to domestic and global site for erection Services/AMCs/Site Audits.Technical support for sales teamEnsuring Equipment and Personal Safety in all aspects.Coordination with various agencies like Customer/ Consultant/ Contractor/HO and other stakeholders.Responsible for site documentation - Project schedule, Site reports, learning reports, Protocols, Punch lists, Checklists, knowledge sharing with team members and deposit in Report repository.Reports the work progress in relation to quality standards.Identify business opportunities, prompt the service solution to customer by closely working with sales teamWhat you bringWe are looking for a Mechanical engineer who can plan and execute installation & erection activities for various projects.
