Job summary

FLSmidth is seeking an experienced Manufacturing/Process Engineer with 8–12 years in heavy equipment industries. You will execute NPD and proto-pre-series development, coordinate with agencies, and lead capex projects.

Responsibilities include MBOM planning in ERP, jigs and fixtures design, PFMEA/Control plans, time studies, and Lean improvements. You will collaborate across fabrication, welding, machining and assembly teams to optimize productivity, implement new machinery, and ensure smooth

Qualifications

• Engineering BOM reading and interpretation is essential.
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings with GD&T understanding.
• Experience in capital assets design, integration, and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining and assembly processes.
• Hands-on with ERP/MES/IoT and CAD tools; proficient in Lean tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute NPD and proto-pre-series development of parts; coordinate with agencies.
• Lead green/brown field projects and MBOM planning in ERP; validate routing.
• Create MBOM change matrix and manage BOM updates.
• Procure, install, and commission new machinery/equipment; Capex projects.
• Design jigs, fixtures, templates, lifting devices for productivity gains.
• Define process plans, PFMEA, control plans, and SOPs for fabrication processes.
• Conduct time studies; set standard cycle times; drive Lean-based improvements.
• Improve productivity and reduce non-value-adding activities; drive cost savings.
• Oversee machine integration, PLC programming changes, and test equipment setup.
• Support operations with utilization planning aligned to business objectives.
