Job summary

Resustainability in Mumbai is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to supervise installation and erection of mechanical equipment for water and wastewater projects. The role requires hands-on CAD design, equipment selection, and procurement, with 8+ years of wastewater treatment plant experience.

You will read drawings, interpret datasheets, ensure safe handling, maintain site records, and ensure regulatory compliance while promoting teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• B.E. Mechanical is required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in wastewater treatment plants.
• CAD, mechanical analysis, and calculation skills are required.
• Ability to read mechanical datasheets, drawings, and E&M documents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation and erection of mechanical equipment for water and wastewater projects.
• Oversee installation of MS, HDPE, uPVC, CI, and DI piping systems.
• Read and interpret datasheets, GA drawings, P&IDs, HFDs, piping drawings, and manuals.
• Ensure proper material handling, storage, and equipment installation per vendor recommendations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of pumps, blowers, screens, valves, clarifiers, and UF/RO systems.
• Awareness of MEE, MVRE, and boiler equipment is an added advantage.
• Ensure safe chemical handling, storage, and adherence to erection practices.
• Maintain site documentation, material consumption, and reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and promote teamwork and safety.

• Oversee installation of MS, HDPE, uPVC, CI, and DI piping systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical datasheets, GA drawings, P&IDs, HFDs, piping drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Ensure proper material handling, storage, equipment installation, and compliance with vendor recommendations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of pumps, blowers, screens, valves, clarifiers, thickeners, UF/RO systems, oil separators, tube settlers, and sludge-handling equipment.
• Knowledge of MEE, MVRE, and boiler equipment is an added advantage.
• Ensure safe chemical handling, storage, and adherence to erection and commissioning practices.
• Maintain site documentation, material consumption records, and material reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory regulations and promote teamwork and a safe working environment.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Mechanical engineering, systems, and equipment.
• Mechanical design, equipment selection, and procurement. CAD, mechanical analysis, and calculation.
