Job summary

Vena Energy Services (Australia) Pty Ltd in India seeks a seasoned Mechanical Construction Manager to oversee the execution of all mechanical activities across remote project locations. You will ensure installation work stays on schedule and aligns with quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 8–12 years in construction and project management, PMP, and strong leadership. Proficiency in English and MS Project is expected, with willingness to travel to remote sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 8–12 years of experience in construction and project management.
• PMP certification.
• Project planning and controlling.
• Quality assurance in mechanical engineering.
• Handling of cranes and other lifting equipment.
• WTG installation experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English.
• Understanding of Microsoft Projects software.
• Willingness to work at remote project locations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise execution of all mechanical activities as per FQP.
• Ensure installation activities are on schedule.
• Monitor and track assigned work to meet quality.
• Interact with stores for issuing materials as needed.
• Plan resource mobilization and address issues per project conditions.
• Escalate bottlenecks to Construction/ Site Manager.
• Provide daily progress reporting.
• Aim for zero LTI in the area.
• Clear non-compliances raised by quality within set time.
• Plan work allotment and material management for mechanical activities.
• Capture learnings and suggest process improvements.
• Record and share innovative problem-solving with Project Management.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision of execution of all mechanical activities as per FQP
• To ensure respective Installation activities are on schedule
• Monitoring and tracking of assigned work to ensure respective activities as per agreed quality
• Interact with stores for issuing for desired materials
• Resources mobilization planning, addressing the issue recommendation as per actual project condition
• Escalation the bottleneck to Construction Manager/ Site Manager
• Daily progress reporting
• Ensuring zero LTI for respective area
• Clearance of all non-compliances (NC's) raised by quality team within set time
• Work allotment planning and material management for mechanical activities
• Acquisition learnings during execution and intimate engineering for process improvement
• Innovative approach to problem solving, recording and sharing with Project Management team for future implementation

Prerequisites:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or equivalent)
• 8-12 years of experience in Construction and Project Management
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Project Planning and Controlling
• Quality assurance process in mechanical engineering
