Renew is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager - Litigation and Dispute to join its Regulatory, Disputes and Litigation division at the Gurugram head office. The role focuses on providing legal advice, initiating and defending litigation, and coordinating with internal teams to protect business interests.

The ideal candidate has 6-8 years of litigation experience, with exposure to infrastructure or renewable energy projects. LLB or LLM is required; proficiency in AI tools is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage cases and disputes related to litigation and dispute resolution.
• Advise business verticals on legal issues in contracts, compliance and regulatory matters.
• Summarize complex legal issues in business terms and propose practical solutions.
• Draft dispute notices, claim letters and responses per project agreements.
• Review pleadings, issue legal opinions and brief senior counsels.
• Attend hearings and manage external counsels for litigation.
• Review electricity regulations and assess regulatory risk for tenders and bids.
• Maintain MIS for ongoing litigations and coordinate with stakeholders within the company.
• Support audits, legal diligence and process mapping as needed.

Role Summary - We are looking for an experienced and dynamic lawyer to join the Regulatory, Disputes and Litigation division of our corporate legal team at the head office at Gurugram.The role fundamentally involves providing legal advice, initiating and defending litigation, managing litigation database, coordinating with various stakeholders within the organization and to provide legal advice and assistance while securing the business interests of the organization.The candidate is expected to be a team player and be able to contribute to all the different work done by the legal team.Candidates with experience in litigation, in infrastructure and projects (preferably electricity/renewable energy sector), is a must. Proficiency in AI tools is desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Leading and managing cases and issues related to Litigation and Dispute Resolution .
• Advising various business verticals on legal issues associated with contracts, compliances, land related disputes, regulatory issues etc.
• To distil and communicate complex legal issues in a simple, business manner, and assist in providing business-friendly solutions within the legal framework.
• Drafting various dispute notices, claim letters, responses as per the terms of the project agreements.
• Reviewing pleadings, issuing legal opinions,
• Undertaking legal research, briefing senior counsels, attending hearings
• Reviewing and commenting on electricity regulations
• Risk assessment and advisory of various tenders/RfS other bid related documents for setting up of renewable energy projects
• Maintenance and updating of Master Information system (MIS) comprising of all the ongoing litigations in the Company.
• Engaging and co-ordination with the external counsels for litigation .
• Assisting in audit compliances, legal diligence, process mapping etc.
