Qualifications

• LLB degree is mandatory.

• Experience in automotive, FMCG, or industries with significant customer interface preferred.

Responsibilities

• Litigation/Disputes Management: handle and oversee all litigations, arbitrations, consumer court matters, including drafting pleadings, managing filings, and representing the company.
• Legal Advisory & Strategic Counsel: provide legal advice to senior management on litigation-related matters.
• Coordination with External Counsels: collaborate with external counsels for effective representation in high-stakes litigation and arbitration cases.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Dispute Resolution: lead ADR efforts including mediation and arbitration to resolve disputes efficiently.
• Billing and Invoice Management: ensure bills are collected and paid on time, maintain spend records.
• Compliance & Regulatory Audits: ensure compliance and support audits and investigations.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Litigation/Disputes Management: Handle and oversee all litigations, arbitrations, consumer court matters, including drafting pleadings, managing case filings, and representing the company in legal proceedings. Manage larger corporate litigation and arbitration matters, ensuring effective resolution while protecting the companys interests.
• Legal Advisory & Strategic Counsel: Provide legal advice and strategic counsel to senior management and various departments on litigation-related matters, including consumer disputes, corporate litigation, and arbitration cases.
• Coordination with External Counsels: Collaborate with external legal counsels for effective representation in high-stakes litigation and arbitration cases. Ensure timely and efficient communication and management of external legal resources.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify potential legal risks arising from litigation and arbitration matters. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and safeguard the companys reputation and interests.
• Dispute Resolution: Lead efforts in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, including mediation and arbitration, to resolve disputes efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Billing and Invoice Management: ensure that all bills are collected and paid out on time, and maintain detailed records of spends per matter and on an overall basis.
• Compliance & Regulatory Audits: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to litigation and arbitration matters. Support audits and investigations as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: LLB (Mandatory)
