Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate property-related agreements (Sale, Development, Joint Development, Sale Deeds, Conveyance Deeds).
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts for company support functions.
• Conduct title due diligence, revenue record scrutiny, encumbrance checks and search reports.
• Ensure compliance with Maharashtra real estate laws (MLRC, RERA, MOFA).
• Handle RERA registrations, updates and compliance filings.
• Identify legal risks in transactions and propose mitigation strategies.
• Provide legal opinions on property-related issues.

Job Summary

A listed real estate and development company is looking to hire an experienced Real Estate Lawyer to manage the legal aspects of real estate transactions, provide legal opinions on property-related issues, and handle various property matters in Maharashtra. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Maharashtra land laws and RERA regulations, along with strong legal drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate property-related agreements such as Agreements for Sale, Development Agreements, Joint Development Agreements, Sale Deeds, Conveyance Deeds, etc.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts/agreements related to the support functions of the Company.
• Conduct title due diligence, revenue record scrutiny, encumbrance checks and search reports.
• Ensure compliance with Maharashtra-specific real estate laws, including MLRC, RERA, MOFA and other applicable legislations.
• Handle RERA registrations, updates and compliance filings.
• Identify legal risks in transactions and propose mitigation strategies.
• Provide legal opinions on property-related issues.

Key Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Maharashtra-specific property laws.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Prior experience in RERA Compliance and Registration is preferred.

Education

LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognized university.

Experience

6+ years. (hands-on real estate legal experience, preferably in Maharashtra.)
