Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation in Mumbai is seeking a commercially minded finance professional to join as Deputy Manager, Finance. You will own indirect and direct tax compliance, financial reporting and accounting activities, and act as a key business partner to our operations.

You will deliver insightful analysis, forecasting and performance reviews to influence strategic decisions while ensuring governance and compliance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Preferably taxation and finance background with 7 to 10 years of experience.

Role Overview

We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional to join our team as Deputy Manager, Finance. In this role, you'll take ownership of direct and indirect tax compliance, financial reporting, and accounting activities while serving as a key business partner to our business. By providing insightful analysis, forecasting, and performance reviews, you'll help influence strategic decisions and drive business success, while ensuring strong financial governance and compliance across the organization.

What You'll Do

Indirect Tax

• Monthly GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-6 and GSTR-3B.
• Annual GST return filing (GSTR-9).
• Handling GST assessments, open orders and tax notices.
• ITC reconciliation for all four states, including both import and local transactions, with GSTR-2B.
• Maintaining documentation and working on open indirect tax notices, including Bills of Entry, Bills of Export, ITC reconciliation and other supporting documents.

Direct Tax

• Monthly TDS payments and return filing.
• Coordination and support for Tax Audit and Transfer Pricing Audit.
• Income Tax return filing and related activities.
• Discussion and follow-up on open notices and orders relating to Direct Tax, including Tax Audit and Transfer Pricing matters.

FP&A / Business Finance

• Handling Business Finance activities for the Food Division.
• Day-one sales reporting and analysis.
• Regular discussions with the Commercial Head regarding forecasts, AOP and deviations.
• Active involvement in AOP finalization for the next financial year.
• P&L review and business performance discussions.

Accounting

• Monthly accounting entries for provisions and prepaid expenses.
• GST ledger reconciliation with GST returns.
• TDS GL reconciliation with vendors and ensuring proper accounting.
• Supporting the team during the annual audit and financial closing activities.

What You'll Bring

Preferably Taxation and Finance background with 7 to 10 years of experience
