People First Consultants in Delhi is seeking a Deputy Manager - Cost Accounting to oversee product costing, cost analysis, and financial control processes. The candidate should have 5–8 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing, CMA / CMA Inter preferred along with B.Com or equivalent qualification, and strong Excel and Tally

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed product cost sheets and BOM costing.
• Analyze standard costs versus actual costs and investigate variances with actionable insights.
• Monitor and ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory.
• Ensure proper absorption of factory overheads and track overall production costs.
• Identify cost inefficiencies and recommend effective cost optimization and reduction measures.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis and monitoring.
• Prepare cost-related MIS reports, profitability analysis, and departmental cost reports for management review.

Requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and variance analysis. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems such as Tally. Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable business insights. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. CMA / CMA Inter (preferred) along with B.Com or equivalent qualification. 5-8 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
