Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Deputy Manager – Contract Management in Ahmednagar. The role focuses on end-to-end order execution, contract reviews, and delivery compliance for MV switchboard projects.

You will coordinate customer inspections, dispatch clearance, and logistics, while ensuring accurate invoicing and cross-functional alignment. Ideal candidates hold a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical and have 4–12 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 4-12 years of relevant experience in contract management / order execution.
  • Experience with MV switchboard projects and related customer inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate customer inspections and dispatch clearance for MV switchboards.
  • Plan and monitor dispatch schedules and coordinate with logistics partners.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing and align with finance and logistics for order closure.
  • Act as central liaison between Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, Finance and Logistics.
  • Monitor contract milestones, LD exposure, and delivery commitments; escalate risks.

Job description

This role is essentially an Order Execution / Contract Management professional responsible for driving the complete cycle from customer inspection, contract review, execution monitoring, invoicing, dispatch, logistics coordination, and delivery compliance for MV Switchboard projects.

Position: Deputy Manager – Contract Management – Ahmednagar

Educational Qualification: B.E/ B.Tech - Electrical

Experience Range (Min-Max) : 4-12 year

Key Responsibilities

Customer Inspection & Dispatch Clearance
  • Coordinate and manage customer inspections for MV Switchboards (AIS, GIS, RMU, CSS, etc.).
  • Ensure all inspection observations and compliance requirements are addressed.
  • Obtain customer approval and dispatch clearance within committed timelines.
Logistics & Transportation Management
  • Plan and monitor dispatch schedules in line with project delivery commitments.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners and transporters to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Track shipments and proactively address transportation-related issues.
Invoicing & Dispatch Management
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing of customer orders.
  • Monitor dispatch documentation and fulfilment processes.
  • Coordinate with finance, commercial, and logistics teams to facilitate smooth order closure.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Act as the central point of coordination between Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and Logistics teams.
  • Drive alignment across functions to ensure project milestones and customer commitments are met.
  • Resolve execution bottlenecks through proactive stakeholder engagement.
Contract & Project Management
  • Conduct regular contract reviews to monitor:
    • Delivery commitments
    • Project milestones
    • Expected margins
    • Liquidated Damages (LD) exposure
  • Track project progress and escalate risks that may impact timelines, cost, or profitability.
  • Ensure project objectives are achieved within agreed scope, schedule, and business constraints.
Stakeholder Communication
  • Communicate contract obligations, project status, risks, and action plans to all stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular interactions with customers regarding inspections, deliveries, and project updates.
  • Ensure responsibilities and deliverables are completed as per agreed schedules.
