Job summary

Aliaxis India is seeking an experienced technical professional to drive PVC, CPVC, and OPVC pipe extrusion projects across our manufacturing network. You will define technical specifications for extrusion lines, oversee supplier evaluation, and lead installation, commissioning, and ramp-up with OEMs, procurement, and plant teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide inputs for business cases for PVC/CPVC/OPVC pipe projects.

• Drive VA/VE initiatives and implement them via MOC/PCN/ECN processes.
• Evaluate and implement modern extrusion technologies and automation.

Job description

:

• Provide technical inputs for preparing business cases related to PVC, CPVC, and OPVC pipe manufacturing projects.
• Define and develop technical specifications for extrusion lines and downstream equipment, including Belling Machines, CNC Lathes, Slotting Machines, and other ancillary systems.
• Conduct technical evaluation, supplier assessment, and selection for machinery procurement in greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Lead installation, commissioning, stabilization, and ramp-up of extrusion lines across locations, ensuring adherence to committed cost, quality, and timeline objectives in collaboration with OEMs, Procurement, Projects, and Plant teams.
• Review formulations and monitor compounding processes for new project implementations.
• Establish and optimize pipe production processes to achieve targeted throughput, efficiency, and product quality in coordination with OEMs and plant teams.
• Provide technical support to PAN India manufacturing plants for operational excellence initiatives focused on:
• Improving OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
• Increasing throughput
• Reducing waste and rejections
• Enhancing product quality and process reliability
• Identify and drive cost optimization initiatives through Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VA/VE) methodologies, including plant trials, validation activities, and implementation through established change management processes such as MOC, PCN, and ECN.
• Evaluate and implement modern extrusion technologies, automation solutions, and process innovations to improve productivity, quality, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IMS standards, quality systems, and safety requirements across project and operational activities.

• Successful execution of new projects within defined cost, quality, and timeline parameters.
• Expansion and enhancement of PVC pipe manufacturing capacity across existing plants, new facilities, and subcontractor locations.
• Implementation and realization of VA/VE projects across manufacturing locations.
• Achievement of targeted improvements in OEE, throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Successful commissioning and stabilization of new extrusion lines.

Skills and Competencies

• Extensive knowledge of PVC, CPVC, and OPVC pipe extrusion processes.
• Understanding of thermoplastic material behavior and compounding technologies.
• Familiarity with ISO, ASTM, BIS, and other relevant quality standards for plastic piping systems.
• Experience in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) projects and cost optimization initiatives.
• Leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of automation and emerging technologies in extrusion manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
