Responsibilities

• Review performance data, identify root causes for drops, and drive corrective actions.

Role summary

Own end-to-end delivery for assigned accounts, meeting operational, financial, and quality commitments while building a capable, stable team.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer the delivery of peer review services for our customers and oversee a team of Peer review assistants.
• Ensure smooth team functioning to meet the productivity and quality targets across the given portfolio.
• Manage journal rollouts end-to-end, including capacity planning for new titles or accounts
• Review performance data and reports, identify root causes for drops, and drive corrective and preventive action
• Collaborate with the customer vendor management team to resolve challenges and share improvement ideas on reporting, process improvement, and quality management.
• Represent the Journal Editorial Services team in client and senior management updates.
• Responsible for the recruitment, training, coaching and performance management of the team members.
• Identify high-potential talent and contribute to staff development plans and succession readiness
• Ensure timely and accurate billing and invoicing for all Journal Editorial services under their accounts
• Identify and drive automation, tooling, and process improvements, with measurable impact on efficiency, TAT, or cost

Required skills & experience

• Has experience of managing teams in scholarly publishing, preferably in the journal peer review process.
• Experience in peer review management systems, such as Editorial Manager or Scholar One.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Has good people and team management skills.
• Has good stakeholder management skills
