You will lead a team of Peer Review Assistants, drive process improvements, manage billing, and represent the service in client updates with focus on capacity planning, performance analysis, and staff development.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in journal peer review including team management.
• Experience with peer review management systems such as Editorial Manager or ScholarOne.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Strong people and team management skills.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery for assigned accounts, ensuring commitments are met while building a capable team.
• Administer delivery of peer review services and oversee a team of assistants.
• Ensure productivity and quality targets across the portfolio.
• Manage journal rollouts end-to-end, including capacity planning for new titles or accounts.
• Review performance data, identify root causes, and drive corrective action.
• Collaborate with vendor management to resolve challenges and propose improvements.
• Represent the Journal Editorial Services team in client and senior management updates.
• Recruit, train, coach and manage performance of team members.
• Identify high-potential talent and contribute to staff development plans and succession readiness.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing and invoicing for Journal Editorial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Administering the delivery of peer review services for our customers and oversee a team of Peer review assistants.
• Ensure smooth team functioning to meet the productivity and quality targets across the given portfolio.
• Manage journal rollouts end-to-end, including capacity planning for new titles or accounts
• Review performance data and reports, identify root causes for drops, and drive corrective and preventive action
• Collaborate with the customer vendor management team to resolve challenges and share improvement ideas on the reporting, process improvement, and quality management.
• Represent the Journal Editorial Services team in client and senior management updates.
• Responsible for the recruitment, training, coaching and performance management of the team members.
• Identify high-potential talent and contribute to staff development plans and succession readiness
• Ensure timely and accurate billing and invoicing for all Journal Editorial services under their accounts
• Identify and drive automation, tooling, and process improvements, with measurable impact on efficiency, TAT, or cost.
