Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical maintenance of turbine and auxiliaries for Raipur plant, ensuring safety and reliability.
• Conduct audits for unsafe conditions and maintain CAPA.
• Provide job-specific training and ensure safe work at height and in confined spaces.
• Prepare audits, maintain records, and report to management on safety and performance.
• Develop long-term maintenance plans and budgets; optimize spares inventory and plant cost.
• Collaborate with station management to meet PLF, heat rate and performance goals.

Job description

Purpose/Objective

The position of mechanical maintenance is responsible for all mechanical maintenance of turbine & aux. of Raipur thermal power plant. He has to develop strategic and tactical plans in conjunction with his peers & supervisors for safe, reliable, quality and cost effective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• - Element owner Element owner of Welding Gas cutting and IST member of Machine Guarding - Carrying audit for unsafe conditions of U#1 to 5 - Carrying out job specific training of work which is being carried out and carrying out SI on schedule basis.
• - Preparing PPTs and keeping records of the audit observations.
• - Taking precautions, issuing permits and safely carrying out work at height, confined space and high risk areas and attending Health & Safety meetings and maintaining housekeeping - Implementation of CAPA and Review of JSA - Penalty to colleagues and contractor workers as per OHS requirements - Provide vision and leadership in collaboration with the Station Manager and management team to station personnel to help achieve the goals and objectives of the business unit.
• - Provide strategic direction and guidance to the turbine & auxiliary’s maintenance team to facilitate maintenance in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner for Raipur station.
• - Initiate and manage innovative plant maintenance standards required to remain competitive.
• Provide input to long term maintenance plans based on predictive & preventive maintenance principles.
• Cross-train the maintenance employees to handle diverse functions.
• - Develop a team-based working environment and cultivate a corporate culture dedicated to continuous improvement.
• - Establish, Develop and maintain positive working relationships with employees, to satisfy internal and external customers of the station.
• - Provide budget inputs and control cost to maintain yearly budgets.
• - Interface with other departments in supporting plant PLF, Heat Rate, and other important goals.
• - Ensure to maintain optimum inventory level for TG & Aux equipment while keeping balance between inventory value and availability of critical spares.
• - Ensure continual improvement in equipment and system performance related with TG & Aux.
• - Get work done through service provider & certifications.
• - Quality parameter’s to be achieved through best maintenance practices.
• - Penalty as per OHS requirements.

Technical Competencies

Maintenance of Steam Turbine of 660 MW plus units. ,Maintenance of rotary equipment’s e. g. Turbine, BFP, CCCW Pump, ACW Pump, Lube oil Pump, CEP & Seal Oil Pump, HP Valves, HP Piping & DEH System. ,Manpower Management,Performance optimisation of steam turbine & auxiliaries,SAP Knowledge & Skills

Qualifications and Experience
