Centre Head (Operations) | Learning Treehouse
Preschool, Creche & After-School Programs
About the Role
We are looking for a hands‑on Centre Head to run the day‑to‑day operations of Learning Treehouse, a preschool, creche and after‑school learning centre. You will work directly with the founders and act as the COO of the centre: owning admissions, parents, staff, finances and compliance, and making sure everything runs smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Admissions & Marketing
- Own the full admissions funnel, from lead to counselling, follow‑up and enrolment.
- Drive local and digital marketing, open days and referrals to keep enrollment healthy.
Parents & Community
- Be the primary point of contact for parents and handle queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Plan and run parent orientations, PTMs, workshops and festivities.
Operations & Programs
- Manage daily operations of the preschool, creche and evening programs.
- Ensure the monthly curriculum is delivered on time, with the right activities and resources.
Staff & Quality
- Lead, coordinate and develop the team through staff meetings, classroom observation and performance reviews.
- Maintain high standards of child safety, hygiene and discipline.
Finance & Administration
- Manage fee collection, budgets, expenses and basic accounting.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation and compliance with statutory requirements.
Events & Celebration
- Plan and execute all school events, festivals, celebrations, workshops, and special activities smoothly and on time.
- Coordinate with teachers, staff, vendors, and management for activities, dcor, logistics, rehearsals, and resources.
- Ensure age‑appropriate, engaging, safe, and well‑organised experiences for children.
- Manage parent communication, event documentation, and post‑event review for continuous improvement.
Reporting
- Share regular reports with the founders on admissions, finances, staff and incidents.
- Execute the founders' vision and standards faithfully, escalating key decisions for approval.
What Success Looks Like
In the first 90 days
- You know every child, parent and team member by name, and the centre runs smoothly without founder intervention in daily matters.
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting is in place and reaching the founders on time.
- Admissions follow‑ups are structured, with no lead left uncontacted.
In the first year
- Enrolment grows steadily, with strong conversion from enquiry to admission.
- Parents are satisfied and re‑enrol, and the centre earns referrals.
- Fees are collected on time and the centre stays within budget.
- The team is stable, motivated and performing, with low turnover.
- Safety and compliance records are complete and audit‑ready, with zero preventable incidents.
Who You Are
- Experience in school, preschool or centre operations, or in a comparable customer‑facing management role.
- Strong communicator in English and Hindi, in writing and in person.
- Comfortable with sales and conversions, people management, and basic finance.
- Organised, dependable and detail‑oriented, with a calm approach under pressure.
- Someone who takes ownership and can be trusted with children, cash and confidential information.
Minimum Requirements-
- Qualifications- MBA ( Marketing, HR, Finance) , B.ed/NTT or any childhood course, knowledge about Montessori.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in preschool operations, admission counselling school leadership, academic planning, curriculum mapping.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
This Role Is Not for You If
- You prefer a fixed, narrow job description. This role covers admissions, parents, staff, finance and compliance, often on the same day.
- You are looking for a teaching‑only or purely desk‑based role. You will be on the floor, on calls and in front of parents.
- You need detailed instructions at every step. You are expected to take ownership, and to expedite rather than wait.
- You are not comfortable with sales targets, follow‑ups and numbers. Enrolment and fee collection are part of the job.
- You are looking for a short‑term stop. We want someone who will build and stay with the centre.
