A Deployment trainee at Wadhwani AI will learn and train to integrate and scale AI-enabled solutions within public health frameworks to improve healthcare delivery for underserved populations. The trainee will actively engage with government bodies like the National Health Mission (NHM), healthcare providers, and community stakeholders through capacity-building workshops and field assessments, and contribute to synthesizing field insights, tracking deliverables, and documenting project outcomes to drive smooth implementation and sustainable public systems adoption.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Collaborate with program officers to provide technical support to the National Health Mission (NHM) in deploying various AI-enabled solutions.
- Gain practical experience in implementing AI within public health frameworks, engaging diverse stakeholders, and applying implementation science methodologies.
- Maintain regular communication with government officials to ensure smooth project management and timely reporting.
- Partner with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team to track project indicators and deliverables.
- Engage with stakeholders to assess community needs and foster an ecosystem supportive of AI implementation.
- Assist in conducting and co-facilitating workshops and training sessions to enhance healthcare providers’ skills in AI applications.
- Synthesize field insights into actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate with internal staff and consultants to drive effective project execution.
- Document project outcomes, successes, challenges, and lessons learned to inform future initiatives.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of information and adhere to all data privacy and protection norms.
- Perform any additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor in line with project requirements.
Requirements
- Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in any field, complemented by a Master’s in Public Health (MPH), Health Management, or Community Medicine.
- Any brief prior experience in public health, particularly within government health systems, with a focus on digital health and AI initiatives is an asset.
- Basic understanding of ground realities and implementation challenges in areas such as TB, NCDs, IDSP, CPHC, and Quality of Care.
- Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare landscape, especially the Ayushman Bharat initiative and National Health Mission (NHM) strategies.
- Willing to travel within the state or nationally as required (up to 30% of the time).
