Job summary

Aimtrex Technologies is seeking a hands-on Deployment Technician to join the field team and travel to customer sites across India for assembly, wiring and testing under supervisor guidance.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of on-site deployment or installation experience, knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly, and basic soldering. The role offers growth into running your own site within two to three years and requires disciplined, safe practices.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or allied discipline.
• 2-4 years hands-on assembly experience, including on-site deployment exposure.
• Mechanical skills: hand and power tools, measuring and alignment.
• Electronics: wiring, crimping, connector handling, basic soldering, battery connections.
• Instruments: digital multimeter and power supply for AC/DC voltage and current.
• Willing to travel across India; disciplined and report issues.
• Basic computer skills: Excel, email, site reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify deployment kits before dispatch.
• Carry out mechanical assembly at site per drawings and alignments.
• Carry out electronics assembly, wiring and harness routing.
• Perform basic electrical checks with meter.
• Support power-on, functional testing and customer demos.

Job description

Travel with the deployment team and do the hands-on assembly, wiring and testing work at customer sites, under the supervisors direction. A role for someone who wants to grow into running their own site within two to three years.

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare and verify deployment kits before dispatch parts, sub-assemblies, harnesses, fasteners, consumables, tools and spares against the checklist.
• Carry out mechanical assembly at site from assembly drawings mounting, fastening, alignment and levelling of structures, enclosures and sub-assemblies.
• Carry out electronics assembly and wiring mounting boards and sub-systems, routing and dressing harnesses, connector mating, crimping, battery and power connections, earthing.
• Perform basic electrical checks under supervision: continuity, polarity, AC / DC voltage and current measurement with a multimeter or clamp meter.
• Support power-on, functional testing and customer demonstration.
• Assist in troubleshooting fit-up, wiring and assembly issues, and report findings clearly to the supervisor.
• Record work done - checklists, readings, serial numbers and site photographs - and hand them to the supervisor for the installation report.
• Keep the site clean and safe; follow ESD, electrical and general site safety practice.
• Look after the deployment tool kit - account for tools before and after every site visit.

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or allied discipline.
• 2-4 years of hands-on assembly experience, with at least some on-site deployment or installation exposure.
• Mechanical - confident with hand and power tools, measuring tools, fastening and basic alignment.
• Electronics & electrical - wiring and harness work, crimping, connector handling, basic soldering, battery connections, understanding of wire colour-code standards.
• Instruments - digital multimeter and power supply - can measure AC / DC voltage and current correctly and safely.
• Willing to travel across India.
• Disciplined about following instructions and raising problems instead of improvising.
• Basic computer skills - Excel, email, WhatsApp-based site reporting.
