Job summary

Siemens in Nashik, India seeks a Demand Planning Professional to manage procurement and logistics. You will monitor PRs in SAP, coordinate PO releases, and drive on-time deliveries across internal and external teams.

The role requires 4–5 years in SAP MM/PP, knowledge of motors used in traction or industrial settings, and strong vendor Coordination. Willingness to travel to other locations within India as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor purchase requisitions in SAP R/3 and track PRs.
• Coordinate release of purchase orders with vendors.
• Follow up with suppliers for on-time deliveries.
• Coordinate with customs for clearance processes.
• Interface with finance for transit-damage insurance cases.
• Reduce idle time on shop floor due to material delays.
• Coordinate with production logistics, dispatch, and vendors for sub-contracted items.
• Support vendor quality issues with development teams.
• Update procurement lead-times in SAP MRP and optimize PO consolidation.
• Collaborate on amendments with product development and implement sourcing models.

We are looking for Demand Planning Professional

You’ll make a difference by

• Monitor SAP R/3 generated Purchase Requisitions (PRs)
• Preparation and co-ordination for release of purchase orders
• Follow-up with vendors for timely deliveries
• Co-ordination with customs for clearance
• Co-ordinate with HO-Finance for transit damage Insurance cases
• Monitor & reduce Idle time on Shop floor on account of material non-availability.
• Co-ordination with Production Cell’s Logistics, Dispatch, Vendor for sub-contracted items
• Co-ordination with Manufacturing & Vendors for disposal of Quality problems raised,
• Co-ordination with Vendor development & Quality inspection for Vendor Quality related issues
• Updating of Item Procurement lead-time in SAP in MRP
• Optimize number of Purchase Orders through consolidation of Purchase Requisitions in consideration of lead-times
• Co-ordination with Product development for Amendments
• Implementation of Sourcing Models (Consignment Stock, Contract Warehouse, KANBAN) to improve Material Availability & Inventories.
• Implementation of Lean mfg. concept

Desired Skills:

• Having SAP knowledge with 4-5 years of experience. Should have the experience working in MM & PP modules.
• Should have worked on Traction Motor or Industrial Motor factory.
• Should have knowledge about the parts used in motors
• Should have process knowledge of the parts of motors which are manufactured like Machining of housing, Shafts and other parts used in motors.
• Will be able to make the good understanding and communication with external vendors/ supplier and good co-ordination with internal departments.
• Should be agile and flexible to work based on urgency and demands as per customer requirements.
• Good Communication and Presentation Skills
• You are capable of analysis and learning and always work Result, Team, and Quality Oriented.
