Job summary

Siemens Mobility, Nashik-based, is seeking an Associate Engineer to manage receiving, warehousing, and Lean manufacturing support in its SCM-Procurement / Supply Chain Logistics unit. The role requires 3+ years of experience and a degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering. Knowledge of motor components and SAP data entry is beneficial.

The position may involve travel within India. You will interact with Purchase for transit insurance cases and support periodic inventories while contributing

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in related role.
• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Experience with traction motor or industrial motor components is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receiving: administer receiving material, count materials, prepare GRN, inspect materials, handle rejections, coordinate transit insurance, support Lean manufacturing.
• Warehouse Management: binning, material removal, shop layout storage, SAP data entry, PI count reconciliations, periodic inventories, MIS.
• General: support Lean manufacturing concepts and Kanban cycles; interact with sourcing and IE teams.

We are looking for Associate Engineer

You’ll make a difference by

• Receiving
  * Administration of receiving material
  * Material counting
  * Preparation of GRN for received quantity
  * Offering material for inspection
  * Handling rejections
  * Co-ordination with Purchase for transit damage Insurance cases
  * Support implementation of Lean manufacturing concept
• Warehouse Management
  * Pulling of material from Receiving and QI
  * Binning of accepted material in Stores and Shop locations
  * Production/Extra Cost/Sub-contractor Order wise material removal & tray preparation
  * Data entry to SAP for material transactions
  * Reconciliation of differences arising out of PI count
  * Regular MIS on Stores Performance
  * Periodic shelf-life check of items
  * Periodic Perpetual Inventory
  * Co-ordination with IE for new product item storage on shop layout
  * Support Sourcing KANBAN cycle on Shop
  * Support implementation of Lean manufacturing concept

Desired Skills:

• You should have min. of 3+ years of experience along with graduate or postgraduate degrees in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Should have worked for the traction motor or industrial motor factory.
• Should have knowledge of parts used in motors.
• Should be able to identify various parts, its uses etc.
• Excellent skills in English (oral and written).
