Job summary

The Apex Group is a global financial services provider seeking a Vice President with 12+ years in hedge fund administration to join the Open-Ended Fund Accounting Integration team in India (Bangalore/Pune/Mumbai).

You will work with Global Client Service Managers and onboarding teams to set up and integrate administration of Open-Ended Funds, manage data migrations, and lead projects to improve processes while ensuring SLA compliance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of Hedge Fund administration or related end-to-end experience.
• Experience with NAV calculations and onboarding/transfers of funds.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Role - Delivery Lead - Open Ended Fund Integration

Bangalore/Pune/Mumbai - India

The successful candidate will join the Open-Ended Fund Accounting Integration team as a Vice President and will be closely working with Global Client Service Managers and Client Onboarding Team in connection with the performance of duties related to the set-up and integration of administration of Open-Ended Funds. Candidate should have around 12+ years of relevant experience in the Administration of Hedge Funds, NAV Calculations or conversion/migration experience of onboarding/transferring funds from different administrators. The candidate requires excellent communication and has ensure that all interactions with the client and internal stakeholders are handled in a timeous manner and with a quality of response that continually exceeds the service expectations.

Job Specification

• Planning, scheduling, and managing the daily workflows of all client deliverables within the team.
• Oversee fund setup of new business launches/conversions and project management and perform reviews where needed.
• Ensure team onboards clients/migrate data onto Apex accounting platforms by Reviewing fund legal documents and setting up fund structures in accounting system for new and existing clients.
• Perform detailed analysis to capture data points required for the data migration and client reporting requirements.
• Preparing datasets, required mappings, chart of accounts and upload to accounting platforms.
• Performing reconciliations, tying to published financial statements and investor statements.
• Facilitating discussions to resolve reconciling differences, if any.
• Preparing/reviewing the budget summary based on agreements/PPM and setup of the accruals in system.
• Setting up/reviewing the Administration fee/Management fee in system accurately.
• Setting up/reviewing different type of performance fee.
• Providing the support/documents related to the setup and migration of funds as part of audit requirements.
• Lead projects related to automations/ migrations/ conversions/ process improvements, etc.
• Ensure Key Operating Procedures are reviewed and updated every quarter.
• Coordinating with Internal/External Stake holders such as Securities/Trades and Pricing Team, Reporting Team, Investor Services team, Auditors, Client Service Managers and Clients.
• Effectively monitoring deliverables to ensure SLA compliance within set accuracy standards.
• Create and maintain an action item list and a standard project plan for migration projects.
• Develop and maintain project timelines and deliverables.
• Manage external as well as internal expectations regarding deliverables, with regular client and internal meetings as required.
• Participate in and / or lead new service initiatives and projects.
• Provide regular updates to senior management and escalation issues proactively.
• Ensure proper documentation as part of Set-up, migration and handover is maintained and archived by the team.
• Maintain/Own team and project static data for management reporting purposes.
• Manage escalations and risk management of the integration processes.
