Job summary

Acuity Knowledge Partners in Gurugram seeks an experienced fund accounting professional with 5–7 years of hedge fund accounting and reporting to strengthen our Private Markets team.

You will handle NAV processing, reporting, and end-to-end fund disclosures for infrastructure, private debt, and private equity funds, ensuring accuracy and client-aligned transparency.

The role requires independent judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of accounting and reporting experience in hedge funds or complex financial products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and deliver internal and external financial reports, including NAV calculations, performance metrics, and regulatory disclosures.
• Assist on end-to-end NAV processing for hedge funds.
• Prepare investment summaries and fund reports for the board, including income and cash allocations.
• Execute daily cash, position, and market value reconciliations across accounting systems and custodians.
• Prepare fair value adjustments and support Level 3 reporting requirements.
• Calculate management and performance fees (waterfall and crystallization).
• Accrue/amortize non-security related fee income and general expenses.
• Book portfolio activities, income/expense, capital calls, distributions, corporate actions, and OTC derivatives.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and fund-specific compliance tests.
• Collaborate with team and stakeholders to improve processes and reporting accuracy.

The role entailssupporting a senior professional from The Finance team of a leading Hedge fund, wherein the candidate is responsible accounting, reporting, and operationalsupport for a portfolio of alternative investment funds, specifically focusingon infrastructure, private debt, and private equity. They ensure accuracy,transparency, and compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations.This role relies heavily on independent judgment and discretion and includesonly limited supervision.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare,review, and deliver a range of internal and external financial reports,including NAV calculations, performance metrics, and regulatory disclosures(e.g., Quarterly Financials, Investor Reporting ).
• Assiston end-to-end NAV processing for hedge funds
• Prepareinvestment summaries and fund-specific reports for the board (including incomeallocations and cash allocations).
• Executeand resolve daily cash, position, and market value reconciliations acrossaccounting systems, custodians, and prime brokers, including investigation,notification of valid breaks, and necessary adjustments.
• Preparefair market value adjustments and provide robust support for Level 3reporting requirements.
• Calculatecomplex fees, including management fees and performance fees (water fall andcrystallization processes)
• Accrueand/or amortize non-security related fee/income accruals, including financingaccruals and other general expenses.
• Bookingof portfolio activities, income/expense, capital calls, distributions, corporateaction and OTC derivative ensuring accurate allocations.
• Ensureadherence to regulatory requirements and fund‑specific compliance tests.
• Atleast 4‑6 years of accounting and reporting experience for hedge funds, preferablywith a comprehensive understanding of complex financial products, accountingconcepts, and the overall capital market

• Stronganalytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellentwritten and verbal communication, able to clearly convey financial data trends.
