About the Opportunity

The role involves leading and assisting opportunities in the Custom Application Development unit and contributing to technology- and data-driven solutions across the complex, time-consuming commercial insurance value chain. The responsibilities include identifying, managing, governing, and solutionizing digitization opportunities, and using digital technologies to transform insurance business processes and create an enabling environment for digital business.

Responsibilities

Utilize Technology Governance

• Execute monthly compliance and technology audits for in-execution projects.
• Conduct Security audits and Xceedance ARB governance over in-flight projects.
• Perform project governance: track and report cost, risk, dependencies, resources, and variances to internal and external stakeholders.
• Track and manage resource utilisation against approved project budgets.
• Track and manage status and variances (effort, schedule) for in-flight projects.

Manage technology and architecture

• Lead opportunity identification for automation and conceptualise market-viable solutions.
• Provide high-level solution proposals for identified opportunities.
• Lead solution reviews with multiple stakeholders and attain proposal signoff.
• Lead market research on new tools, technologies and focus areas.
• Lead technology management of common tools planned for horizontal support to all processes and solutions.
• Ensure modularity and configurability of solutions.

Manage and assist project execution teams

• Lead multiple end‑to‑end high‑impact projects and ensure delivery per committed timelines and budget.
• Identify and manage stakeholders to ensure delivery per committed timelines and budget.
• Perform periodic technical reviews and guide the project execution team with architecture decisions and execution.
• Plan and manage cross‑utilisation of resources for execution projects.
• Highlight risks and provide course correction to ensure market‑viable solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

Extensive knowledge of IT project and program delivery, various SDLC frameworks, and adept implementation of Agile methodology.

• Extensive experience managing international client stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Ability to handle pre‑sales opportunities; active participation in solution design estimation and ERP response with the sales team.
• Experience managing P&L for accounts independently, including budgeting and profitability management, account farming.

Strategic thinking with a knack for identifying risks effectively.

Self‑motivated and passionate with a technology mindset; ability to identify digitization and digitalization opportunities in the insurance value chain.

Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills; proven ability to get buy‑in at all levels and across cross‑functional teams.

Ability to quickly understand, decide, and adopt new technology innovations/tools.

• Rapidly gauge technology and digital needs of the insurance industry and lead/guide adoption of the latest tech tools.
• Create technology roadmap, plan/align appropriate technical resources, and develop a framework for capability enhancements and cross‑skilling.
