Job summary

Centra is seeking a Deli Assistant to prepare high-quality hot and cold deli items and ensure customer satisfaction as the top priority.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, some customer service experience, and be able to work in a fast-paced team. HACCP training is desirable but not essential; rate of pay reflects experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas; make sandwiches and rolls, dish up hot food and slice meats using portion control measures.
• Cook, prepare and display the foods sold throughout the day.
• Ensure that counter displays in all fresh food departments are maintained at the highest standards.
• Demonstrate passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and recommendations with customers.
• Deal with customer queries efficiently and professionally in line with store policy.
