Frigate Engineering Services is seeking a Deburring, Automatic & Manual Buffing and Finishing Engineer in Tamil Nadu. The role manages automatic/deburring, buffing, polishing, and finishing processes, trains team members, and ensures quality, productivity, and safety standards.

You will operate and set up finishing equipment, supervise process parameters, and coordinate with Quality for inspections to meet surface finish specs.

Formación

• Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical, Production, or relevant engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years in automatic and manual deburring, buffing, polishing, and finishing.
• Experience with deburring processes, buffing machines, fixtures and process parameters.

Responsabilidades

• Operate automatic buffing machines and perform manual buffing, deburring, polishing, and finishing.
• Set up machines, fixtures, polishing wheels, abrasive tools, and process parameters.
• Train and guide the team on automatic/manual finishing, quality standards, and safe operation.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, machining marks, and surface imperfections to specifications.
• Ensure required surface finish, appearance, and cleanliness.
• Coordinate first-piece and in-process inspection with the independent Quality team.
• Identify defects and implement corrective actions to reduce rejection and rework.
• Improve cycle time, productivity, and consumable utilization.
• Maintain machines, fixtures, tools, and production records.
• Follow PPE, dust-control, machine safety, and 5S requirements.

Job Purpose

To manage automatic and manual deburring, buffing, polishing, and finishing, train team members, and achieve quality, productivity, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate automatic buffing machines and perform manual buffing, deburring, polishing, and finishing.
• Set up machines, fixtures, polishing wheels, abrasive tools, and process parameters.
• Train and guide the team on automatic/manual finishing, quality standards, and safe operation.
