Role Overview

The Dean - Research will lead the institution’s research strategy, promote a strong research culture, secure external research funding, and drive innovation, patents, and intellectual property generation. The role involves strengthening research collaborations, enhancing publication quality, and ensuring impactful research outcomes.

• Develop and implement the institutional research strategy aligned with academic and industry priorities.
• Identify and secure research grants and funding from government agencies, industry, and other funding bodies.
• Lead the development of funded research projects and support faculty in preparing competitive grant proposals.
• Promote high-quality research publications, interdisciplinary research, and collaborative projects.
• Drive innovation, technology transfer, patent filing, and intellectual property (IP) commercialization.
• Establish research partnerships with industry, national and international institutions, and funding agencies.
• Build research capacity through faculty mentoring, workshops, and research development initiatives.
• Establish research policies, monitor project progress, and ensure compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
• Track key research performance indicators, including grants secured, publications, patents, and technology transfers.

Qualifications & Experience
